How to get the FreeStyle Libre 2 system

Generally, people in the UK with Type 1 diabetes should be offered reimbursement for sensor-based glucose monitors.1 Some people in the UK with Type 2 diabetes using multiple insulin injections daily may also be offered reimbursement.2

Through possible reimbursement

More and more patients are becoming eligible to be reimbursed for their FreeStyle Libre 2 system through the NHS. Find out if you might be eligible by reading our cost and eligibility guide below or by speaking to your Healthcare Team.

With our free 2 week trial

Those who aren’t eligible for reimbursement may be eligible for a free 2 week trial of a FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor.

Availability on prescription

If you live in England, Wales or Scotland, check the latest guidelines on who should be offered a sensor-based glucose monitor on the NHS.

If you get Freestyle Libre 2 Plus sensors on the NHS, you should also get the other things you need like glucose meters and test strips.
