FREESTYLE LIBRELINK
APP

The FreeStyle LibbreLink app is used to scan the sensor when you download the FreeStyle LibreLink application.

HOW DOES THE SENSOR WORK?

The sensor uses a thin, flexible filament inserted just under the skin to measure glucose levels every minute from the interstitial fluid.

The handheld reader or smartphone is used to scan the sensor with a painless2 one-second scan and replaces the use of conventional blood glucometers3.

The sensor filament is less than 0.4 mm in diameter and is inserted 5 mm under the surface of the skin.

WHAT WILL YOU GET WITH EVERY SCAN?

With every scan you get:

  • 1. Notes

Notes feature allows you to keep track of your insulin, exercise and food

  • 2. Future

A glucose trend arrow showing the direction and indicating which way your glucose is heading

  • 3. Present

    A current glucose reading

  • 4. Past

    8-hour glucose history

  • Remember!

For a complete glycemic picture, the sensor must be scanned at least once every 8 hours
