Invaluable support for my busy life
As a mum and teacher, days are busy and unpredictable. I am able to open the app◊ when I am going for my lunch break, during lessons and also when I am out exercising or training the school basketball team.
For me, the most beneficial thing is the fact that I have the option to scan my sensor or use in the real-time readings feature.ǁ I could not imagine my days without the FreeStyle Libre 2 system.
I have found the alarm feature¤ amazing, as it gives me an audible alarm if and when my glucose levels are dropping and when they are low or high depending on the configured range.
I also love being able to add in my insulin and carbohydrates for meals in the app. This benefits me as I can check back over my days and make adjustments as necessary, all through my phone.◊
A helping hand during pregnancy
During pregnancy, the range in diabetes control is very specific, with the range defined by my doctor who I had progress check-ins with every 2 weeks. My doctor and wider diabetes team linked with my FreeStyle Libre 2 system₼ and were able to extract my results for the previous two weeks, which gave a true reflection of day-to-day life. This allowed them to offer valuable advice and support right up to my son being born.
My diabetes control throughout my pregnancy was fantastic and I am so proud of this and thankful for the FreeStyle Libre 2.
Overall, I am delighted with the new features of the FreeStyle Libre 2 system and cannot speak highly enough about it.
