The FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System is designed to replace routine blood glucose monitoring¹. The system represents one of the products in a new category of flash glucose monitoring, which is a type of continuous glucose monitoring system.  It is different traditional continuous glucose monitoring systems that typically have alarms. This system may provide a good alternative for patients that are bothered by alarms or suffer from ‘alarm fatigue’ but still want real-time glucose information.
