Some competitive continuous glucose monitor (CGM) devices have patient calibration. How is the FreeStyle Libre system accurate without patient calibration?
All glucose monitoring devices require calibration to maintain accuracy using one of two methods: patient calibration or factory calibration.1 Unlike some of the other sensor-based glucose monitoring systems currently available, the FreeStyle Libre Sensor is factory calibrated and requires no fingerstick calibrations during the 14-day wear period.
